Working in Germany: For international students

ISE-FIT-NORDWEST - International Student Success and Employability (ISE) - Promoting International Talent (FiT) for the Future in the Northwest of Germany

The ISE-FiT-Northwest DAAD - program aims to prepare international students for studying MINT courses at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer and guide them through the student life cycle to successful graduation, as well as support the transition between studying and entering the regional job market. This represents a pool of opportunities both for international students and for the regional labor market.

The program aims to build a bridge between education and employment and to create long-term career prospects for international students in the Northwest region.

This is to be achieved through preparatory language courses, propaedeutics as well as study-related courses to ensure academic success. The Career Service works closely with the Central Student Advisory Service and the International Office.

The Career Service also offers a program to improve employability.

This includes

  • Preparation for the german job market: courses and workshops to develop key qualifications, including soft skills, intercultural communication and presentation techniques.
  • Internships and company cooperations: Support in finding internships and partnerships with companies for practical experience.
  • Establishing a professional network with local companies during your studies with regular meetings and activities.
  • Application training: workshops on preparing CVs, covering letters and preparing for job interviews.
  • Special advice offered by the Career Service for international students.
